More than just a scientist, she is also a mother and sciencepreneur who breaks the STEM ceiling in Japan.

Sastia believes that one of the biggest contributing factors to the deficiency of Indonesian scientists abroad is the unpopularity of the scientific career path. She also puts emphasis on the importance of social engineering in changing the stigma among Indonesian societies.
